HCRN seeks Clinical Data Manager

The Hoosier Cancer Research Network (HCRN) is a not-for-profit oncology research organization which was founded in 1984 to bring oncology clinical trials to community oncology practices. In collaboration with academia, cancer consortiums and other research organizations, HCRN conducts multi-site oncology trials for all types of adult cancer. Currently, HCRN is seeking a motivated, experienced individual for the position of Clinical Data Manager. The successful candidate will manage clinical data for multiple oncology clinical trials representing several cancer types.

The responsibilities of the Clinical Data Manager include:

  • Manage data collection and data validation at participating clinical sites.
  • Train site users on the EDC system and protocol specific EDC requirements.
  • Collaborate in the protocol development process.
  • Perform user acceptance testing on protocol specific EDC systems.
  • Meet with principal investigators and research staff.
  • Validate clinical trial data and write, process and close queries.
  • Collaborate in the development of edit checks.
  • Prepare reports for specific clinical trials.
  • Prepare general reports for HCRN.
  • Review and maintain data quality for assigned clinical trials.
  • Manage clinical trial data through the life cycle of a clinical trial.

  Qualifications of the Clinical Data Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or health related field.
  • Five years of experience in oncology clinical data management.
  • Experience in assisting other Data Managers and Data Validators.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
