HCRN seeks full-time operations associate
Hoosier Cancer Research Network seeks a full-time operations associate to join our team. Administrative experience, oncology or medical background, and a bachelor’s degree are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook calendar functions is required.
HCRN is an independent nonprofit contract research organization based in Indianapolis, Ind., that specializes in early phase, multi-center, investigator-initiated oncology clinical trials. Our studies are conducted through a nationwide network of more than 450 academic and community sites.

Job Description
- Provide administrative assistance for the project management team.
- Conduct study feasibility surveys and tabulate results into actionable data.
- Manage the supply and delivery of investigational product to research sites.
- Enters initial protocol development information into the OnCore system and manages study in development information within OnCore.
- Assists operations team with initial development of study specifics materials as assigned.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external customers by arranging continuing contact, setting priorities, and resolving problem situations. This will include planning and scheduling study status calls, safety calls, meetings, and appointments; managing both paper and electronic files; and communicating information to staff and customers via phone, mail, websites, and email.
- Communicates with physicians (study chairs and scientific committee chairs) and other research collaborators such as funders, biostatisticians, and basic scientists.
- Manage miscellaneous administrative duties, including correspondence, problem-solving and answering inquiries, both external and internal.
- Facilitate trainings, meetings, conferences, and other special events.
- Answer and transfer calls appropriately for HCRN main line.
- Support and actively promote the organization’s mission and values.
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Administrative experience preferred.
- Oncology or Medical background preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook calendar functions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as computer software and documentation and procedure manuals. Will have the ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
