HCRN staff present, receive recognition at Onsemble Conference

Hoosier Cancer Research Network (HCRN) Executive Director Cyndi Burkhardt, RN, will speak during the Onsemble Conference, September 18-21 in Madison, Wis., and Assistant Director for Clinical Systems Adelai Neal will be recognized with an award for her contributions to the Onsemble community.

Onsemble is a semi-annual customer-exclusive conference hosted by Forte, a company that specializes in providing research solutions to cancer centers, academic medical centers, and health systems. HCRN uses the Forte product OnCore to manage clinical trial data.

Burkhardt (pictured right) is a registered nurse with more than 20 years of health care experience in hospital, clinic, and research settings. She was a clinical coordinator at a large community oncology practice before joining Hoosier Cancer Research Network in 2005. Burkhardt will speak Wednesday, September 19, during a panel session on sponsor-funded investigator-initiated trials.

Neal served as an OnCore administrator at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center prior to joining HCRN in 2015. At HCRN, Neal oversees EDC and report development for the organization. She also assists investigators with data requests for publications and presentations.

Neal will receive the 2018 Fall Onsemble Rock Star Award in recognition of her valuable contributions to the Onsemble community. A frequent attendee at the Onsemble Conference, Neal presented multiple time on topics ranging from multi-site trial management to end user training.
